Arbor Grove Clubs and Organization 2018-2019
Ballroom Dancing Cory Redinger Arbor Grove is happy to be a part of the Life Change Ballroom district competitions annually in December.  Our 5th grade students practice 5 different dances twice a week working on etiquette, social awareness, and self-esteem.
Basketball Teams John Coerver In Basketball, 4th and 5th grade boys and girls focus on skills and teamwork during the winter season.
Battle of the Books John Coerver Every year grades 3rd through 5th compete in a battle of the books highlighting the Sequoyah Award winners.  Our amazing winners go on to compete at the district level during December.
Blue Jays’ Nest Amanda Curtis Blue Jays’ Nest is an after school day car program full of fun, yet structured, activities for students of all ages.
Boost Jayme Knox Boost is an Ameri-core, year-round, after school program for 2nd and 3rd grade students. The students use a growth mindset through enrichment rotations of entrepreneur kids, imagine action, and astronaut academy.
Chess Club John Coerver Our annual Chess Club competition is a highlight of the year.  Students in 2nd-5th grades compete in a tournament against each other during the month of December.
Choir Curtis Sharp Our famous Blue Jays Choir is for 3rd-5th grade students. They perform at the PC Arts Festival in the spring.
Drumline Curtis Sharp This one of a kind elementary program is for 4th grade boys and girls. Drumline practices every Friday morning throughout the year.
Frisbee Golf Craig Henson Frisbee Golf is for 4th and 5th grade girls and boys. They work on overall athletic skills while having a fun focus.
Reading Club Jennifer Ore Reading Club is every morning from 7:30-8:20 for grades K-5 in the Library. Reading is FUNdamental!!!
Strings Jessica Liberati 4th and 5th grade students learn how to play stringed instruments as well as proper behavior for rehearsals and concerts. They will perform in two concerts each year, one in December and one in the spring.
Soccer John Coerver Soccer is a favorite early fall sport for 4th and 5th grade boys and girls. They work on teamwork and sportsmanship.
Track Team Cory Redinger 4th and 5th grade students compete in a track and field district completion in the spring. This is a great experience for those students who are interested in sports.

5th grade students who want to participate go through an application process to be a part of this unique elementary experience.   The selected participants actively participate in creating our school yearbook.
